Michael Augustus
Michael joined Simmons Financial Partners in 2022 after moving to Vermont from his home state of Massachusetts.
After experiencing a tragic event in 2017, Mike realized just how precious life is and how quickly it can end with no advance notice. This experience, having had a dramatic impact on Mike, was directly related to his decision to enter the financial services profession in order to educate the public about the importance and need to have the right amount and type of insurance in place. Mike believes "it is important to plan for what might be, in case it does."
Mike holds a BA in business management from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys the many outdoor activities that Vermont offers, as well as spending time with family and friends.
He holds his life and health licenses for Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and Florida.
Mark Valenza, EA
Hailing from New York’s Hudson Valley region, Mark has more than fifteen years preparing taxes for families and individuals He currently serves clients in Bennington and Rutland counties as well as the surrounding areas in Massachusetts and New York. In addition to holding his IRS certification of Enrolled Agent, Mark graduated SUNY New Paltz with a BS in accounting.
